 | | Wow. Talk about a diversity of features - this player combines some rather weird gimmicks for sure. The Hanbit Xdrum 501D comes with 700mW (what?) 3D surround speakers, for instance. These are located at the back of the unit, by the way.
Furthermore, there's a *flash light* to be found at one side of the unit. Yep, has been done before, but still.
The basic capacity already is quite impressive - up to 2GB of built-in flash memory; the train doesn't stop there, though. Through using a (rather uncommon) Mini-SDC memory card, one can upgrade to a maximum amount of 3GB. That's pretty cool for a flash player.

Still some relative uniqueness to be found - there's also an FM transmitter. Might prove difficult for European distribution though (it's formally illegal in the EU to broadcast on the FM band using similar devices), but it's supposedly an "option". And yes, it has two outputs for headphones as well - when does the feature-rage stop?
More widespread is the swivel-type USB pen - no cables are required to enable the Mass Storage functionality. The 4-line OLED looks okay and supposedly supports stuff like calendar and text viewers. Battery life is some 25 hours per charge through a built-in Li-ion battery
600mA (rechargeable through USB Port). FM radio, line-in encoding (MP3, WMA and WAV), voice recording, ASF&Ogg support and a 7-band user equalizer complete the wealthy specification set. There's also software-technical stuff (all kind of locks to prevent people from doing whatever)... but really, it's impressive enough already!
All of this measures some 75 × 30 ×16.2mm (including speakers) and weighs 35 grams. The exact release window isn't known, nor is the suggested retail price... but Hanbit has been releasing very affordable players last year; the damage should be bearable.
