More Creative Neeon details - so that probably means it exists

Once the buzz has started, it's hard to keep the walls from falling down. It's no different for the rumored Creative Neeon, on which we've reported EARLIER.

An anonymous source had some additional information to spare, while confirming most of the already-published details.

First of all: yes, the Neeon is real (no, not the one on the picture ). Well, we can hardly verify that (although we did find that patent PDF thingy), so let's take a look at the other details.

The unit looks a bit like the Zen NX, because it comes with interchangeable face plates. There's indeed no hot-swappable battery behind the hatch, unfortunately, so it's merely a design-technical aspect. You feel like a different face plate, just pop a new one on your Neeon ("New one"? ).

The Neeon is expected to be equiped with both FM tuner and voice recorder. To sum things up, Creative's mysterious 6GB player will be more slender than its Micro-counterpart. That's all for now folks, but stay tuned.

I think that this looks really ugly, i mean if they wanted to beat apple they would have to make something that looks good. I mean the best looking dap would get the most attention.

creative lack creativity, this is show in all their products, their most radical venture was the zen micro and even that lack innovation

Why faceplates? Faceplates in my opinion makes things look really cheap.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer this less flashy look to the Micro's 'busy' appearance. If it has decent battery life I might consider it.

Ah! Rob updated the picture today with a smaller neeon.

Okay, simple look. Simple is beautiful, huh. I shall wait and see how the actual player turn out to be (if it really exist).... ans: a "mini-me" zen-nx. lol.

If you go on the creativezen site - i forget what it is, go on google and search for it - you can see what the neeon actually looks like. I think its really nice, personally, not like the nx, its shiny black - like a piano key.
