iPod Dock from Klipsch, only $ 400

We've seen all kinds of docks for the Apple iPod but this one from Klipsch wins the honor of being the most expensive, ever. The IFI iPod Speaker Systemicon will cost you a solid $ 400. Sure, it comes with some other nice things, like a pair of speakers and a subwoofer, but it's all about the dock. Otherwise, you could just get a a similiar set of Klipsch speakersicon (although not dressed in iPod-white) for less than half the price...

ipodlounge did a review of a home installation dock/speaker system that cost soemthing like $800 or $1000. Music is music, no matter if your speakers are white.

You should not confuse these speakers with the promedia speakers wich are designed as pc speakers. This speaker system is not at all that expensive for what you get :
two Klipsch Reference Series RSX-3 satellites which retail for $130 each and a subwoofer specifically designed for this system with a built-in 200W amp.
This system should be superior to the promedia line and that's why it's much more expensive.

I know speaker system can cost from peanut to $$$$ (power & acoustic factors). It would be nice to have a comparison chart on ipod dock speakers from acoustic point of view.

I have the Bose Sound Dock (£249) & the Altec Lansing inMotion's (£120). The Bose set are incredible; amazingly loud with superb bass response. The inMotions are obviously not as good but are great for travelling because they fold up so small.
