Great stuff, this animated sequence on "Getting perpendicular". It's actually trying to explain something rather complicated (preventing "super-paramagnetic effect" or whatever) in a... totally twisted manner. Which is always much appreciated by us, of course. True, there is a message behind it all that's quite interesting to us DAP-owners. Hitachi claims that the whole concept behind this all will allow them to fit 30.000 songs (rather than the current number of 3000) on a wee-little 6GB drive. Imagine what the possibilities will be by the year
2007, hm.
The way they've presented it makes up for the boring facts, though. Who doesn't like a semi-depressed talking bit, a hard drive Super Hero called "Actuator Man" and a Diana Ross & the Supremes-resembling chorus singing "Get perpendicular" while all of our data's getting funky on the dance floor? Exactly.
