especially since it looks like the camera can only take photos of yourself - if you want to see what it's taking a photo of on the screen...

Perhaps it has 2 cameras? One for taking photos of yourself, and another for photos of everything else?

Someone really didn't think this through...

The camera is set up so you can see yourself in the screen of your ipod mini with colour screen (Like a mirror) and marvel at just how great your are for buying an ipod while you do your hair.

...ahem...

seriously though, this is afterall a 3rd party sketch, taken of a blog, so thats all the seriousness with which we should treat it.

one idea: perhaps if the camera could swivel 180degrees, it could serve double purpose: taking photos, and use as a mirror (and stuff fluidity sed )

This is what I'm hoping they'll do with the 'big' iPods, ditch the ugly white for some sleek metallic stuff.

But white plastic is so cool!

My theory is that Apple took a deal on a few hundred tons of white plastic, realized they got jipped, and is now making everying out of it just to use the stuff up.

if only ipod had recording options and drag and drop music transfer i would pick a ipod photo up in an instant. but drag and drop is never going to happen.

it would seem like the photo attachment would go on the bottom instead of the top. i can see sending audio information back through that but not images.

I agree with Allen. If Apple would stop being cheap bastards and use some quality color screen (256k) and add a few features like radio at least. Remember the so called color screen iPod Mini back in january or febuary? Well we can all probably dream on cause Apple is too cheap to do something like this especially the iPod Flash... we all thought it'd have a cool LCD and look nice.... to me it's fugly and bigger than the usually flash players WITH an LCD screen. So if this does come out then i might actually look into iPods.

If they stuck a colour screen in the mini, the price would go up 25$.

I have an iRiver H10 with a color screen. There isn't much use to it frankly. I just got it because I was getting it for the same price as a Creative Zen Micro. I wouldn't pay anything extra for a color screen.

Having said that, I would like to see how Apple would 'invent' new uses for the color screen incase it decides to put one on the mini-line up.

and the mini is the future of the daps if there is one now that music phones are coming out.

I was thinking of buying a phone for my dap. He's not interested coz his latest Nokia 7710 or something will do all that and more True he has just a 1Gb flash card on it, but its enough for him.

In the above post - I mistyped the last line...
I meant
"I was thinking of buying a dap for my brother" ..
