Philips SA-177 - it's the 170 with 512MB on board (+ pictures)

Strange how a reasonably interesting design can get you so much publicity, these days. Well, any day, actually - design can draw crowds of people, even if the product turns out to be flawed and all. Remember the Philips hdd1x0-series, in that perspective.
Talking of Philips, their SA-17x series flash players just looks kind of "jummy" too. We've reported on this stick-like unit before, and although memory capacities aren't impressive at all... the design just kept us awake or something. ![]() Anyway, in addition to the 128MB and 256MB editions, philips has added the SA-177 to their spectrum. It's just a 512MB version of the SA-170, but well... they're slowly creeping towards that 1GB coolness-limit, I guess. Also, the SA-177 will make it to Europe (duh, Philips is a Dutch company, so they'd better not hold back anything from us ) and has been spotted in some webshops for the reasonable price of 89.99 Euro. Probably, the US MSRP will be something like that, only in Dollars. We've gathered some additional pictures while we were at it. More after the jump.
