Zen Micro Traveldock from Creative
comment: 0 | Saturday, June 11 (2005) 11:48PM | Posted by Lone
Following in the footsteps of iPod speaker sets from JBL, Bose and others, Creative Labs has released a similar setup made specifically for its Zen Micro player. Their Traveldock, available at online retailers like Amazon and eCost for $ 150, allows for docking, charging, and playback from the Zen Micro.

The Traveldock's four speakers feature "NeoTitanium Microdriver Technology" (sounds fancy), and the system runs for 35 hours on a couple of AA's. A remote control is also included.

Yeah, best photo I could find, super blurry and stuff though. For $ 100 I could see people buying it, but I'm not sure about $ 150...

Re: Price of TravelDock:
Think yourself lucky, here in the UK, we're being charged Ł129 for it. That's about $250 in real money...

It's a real shame. The iPod Bose speakers really turn the iPod & iPod Mini into a fantastic home and portable mp3 device. This TravelDock could've done the same, if only it wasn't so ugly and overpriced. And this, my friends, is why Creative will never quite be the #1 mp3 supplier ;-(
