New iRiver players: U10, T20 & T30
comment: 7 | Monday, June 20 (2005) 09:33AM | Posted by Robert Sinke
Probably, a few people who were paying attention to generic massive online webshops' assortments, already saw something called the "iriver T20" pass by. Maybe just a misprint then? Nope, iRiver is indeed planning on the release of the T20, next to some unknown units called "U10" and "T30".
![]() So what is this T-20 then? Simple, it's another flash player by iRiver, sliding-pen type this time. Specs:
![]() The T30 looks way cooler, in my opinion that is. Some kind of Star Wars-meets Battle Galactica structure of death-like unit. iRiver calls it "campus look", but we know better than that.. they're up to something. Let's see if there's an invisible laser-of-doom inside of this one:
![]() Moving on the most suprising one of the lot, the U10. A very weird, miniature-t.v.-shaped-like thing, the U10 uses a single-thumb operated interface (no real touch screen, the edges of the color LCD can be used to throughput user input) and it's equiped with a seemingly kick-ass 2.2-inch QVGA, 262k color TFT-LCD. Me like.
Thanks, a billion gazillion people who submitted this one LINK (MisticRiver, bits at Engadget, Gizmodo referring to i4U and such) UPDATE: more info HERE. "The U10 is a music player that also offers features such as radio, 3D graphic video-games, real-time images, photo slide show ability and text viewing. The MP3 player is integrated with a 2.2-inch LCD color screen, the largest among conventional models, that also doubles as a control pad. Users could operate the device by pressing icons that appears in the screen's four corners. Reigncom plans to release U10 in the market during August, a traditional high-demand period. The 512 megabyte versions will be priced at 286,000 won ($283) and the 1 gigabyte models will be sold for 339,000 won. " So, seems like the U10 is that device we were talking about earlier. It'll hit markets as early as July, supposedly. "Reigncom said it will unveil five new models during the second-half of the year, including devices with enhanced video capabilities. The company is also considering developing devices that can receive television airwaves, targeting the country's expanding mobile television market" More stuff's coming up, we guess. Comments

None of specs are going to win any awards, but iriver has really been getting what the word "design" actually means. The products actually look good! (compared to the h120).
Itll be interesting to see what the "D-Click" system is.
