iAudio A2 inches toward release...
comment: 6 | Monday, July 25 (2005) 04:36AM | Posted by Austin Vaughan
We just got a tip about the upcoming iAudio A2 portable media media player from Cowon:

...a Korean informant has brought to my attention that the A2 has "just received (Korean) government approval for product sale a few days ago." He also said that means in a month or two it is very likely to be released in Korea! Good news ... but a month or two for Korea means 2-4 months over here in the States.

So the A2 is ready for production, it seems. We only need suffer for a couple more months, but isn't that always the case... (hello: RIO). Hopefully we'll be able to get our hands on one these shortly after it appears in Korea. In the meantime, check out the pics we snapped of the A2 at CeBIT, back in March: LINK. Very nice indeed.

Thanks, khbaur

Actually, Austin, don't mean to be picky here... but the A2 is not iAudio. It is Cowon... I dont know why they chose to list PMPs under Cowon instead of iAudio.

If that isn't ugly I don't know what is. The A2, to me, is one of the most attractive PMP's out there. Also, Anonymous, I have heard both sides; altohugh I wonder why it is named the, "A"2 and not any other letter of the alphabet, presumably the, "C." I believe it does stand for something. Another thing that makes me think is the fact that info is only released on the company releases is on the Cowon site and not iAudio.
