Perception Digital's super-funky PD-1002

Not much to tell about this one, but it looks like it came straight out of some weird post-Apocalyptic designer's handbook. The Perception Digital PD-1002 is small enough too, at 79.5 x 52.5 x 17.5mm, weighing some 85 grams.

Seems to be little more than a landscape-mode LCD + randomly ornamented casing-version of the PD-1001, really.

It plays MP3 as well as WMA (DRM) and does this for some 12 contiguous hours, has a built-in FM tuner + recorder plus a voice recorder and a line-in encoder. All pretty much standard stuff, these days. If you want to, you can recharge the battery through USB (2.0). And that's about all we have to say about the PD-1002.

At least it has 5 Gb storage and built in ID3 tag databasing.

It would be quite boring without the sticker on the front.

I had two PD-120's, 128mb flash players, that I got for dirt cheap. Pretty good players, just simple and cheap. My sister still uses one, and has like 69 songs on it since she likes them at 64kpbs...(aaaah!)
