Aska Tripper V - come trip with me

Japanese Aska coughed up this thing today: the "Tripper V". It's basically a PMP that comes with all the usual rim-ram - like a (640x480?) 3.5-inch screen, 20 & 40GB capacities, MPEG2/4, WMV and DivX (video) + MP3, WMA, AAC and AC3 (audio) support.

However, this thing is more aimed at the photographer-kinda PMP-o-philes out there. The Tripper comes with both CF/MicroDrive and (Mini)SD slots and and it can read JPEG, as well as various types of RAW & TIFF standards without any hassle. USB-Host/USB2.0 are aslo included in the spec table, as is a weight of some 280 grams.

The downside, as we've seen for many of these photographer-oriented PMPs, is probably a somewhat skimpy battery life. Not sure how long this device will play video on a single battery charge - but when copying data, it'll run out of juice within 2 hours. Now, copying data is of course a battery-intensive procedure (with the hard drive spinning all the time and such) so maybe it's not all that bad. Otherwise, there's always the Epson P-2000/4000 to fall back on.

Yeah no one would release something with just 2 hours video playback.
