iPod battery with 200 hours of playback
comment: 14 | Sunday, November 06 (2005) 02:30AM | Posted by Austin Vaughan
If you want to watch a whole movie or two on the new iPod, you're going to need some extra juice. The iCel has you covered, and then some. The 201 model ($ 99) lasts for 50 hours of continuous playback, the 202 model ($ 149) lasts for 96 hours, and the 205 model ($ 199) provides up to 200 hours worth. I assume these figures are based on low-bitrate audio playback (I couldn't find any details about their testing methods) so you'd get a good deal less for video. Still, impressive... but pricey.

J/K. Seems like a good device for it. Not that I have an ipod or anything. ( Don't flame me, I don't want one! )

Very pricey, but if you have a new ipod and were hoping to see I dunno, "Titanic" on it which is about 3 hours long, then this is your savior.

yeah, she liked it so much, she just had it implanted in her abdomen. the cable comes out in her palm, which is why you can't see it. its all very high tech.

But this thing has only FireWire, if I read the homepage of Icecel correctly. Who has FireWire these days any more?!!

The dimensions seem to be in inches if you take the Firewire cable in the picture as a reference

I've heard that there is another pricey accessory for the ipod which gives unlimited battery life - they call it the ac adapter or something like that

There are other extended batteries that are the ipod slips into and makes the whole assembly more like a regular dap in thickness but extend the playtime greatly. IMHO these are better than having to use a power cord from a battery pack. Do a GOOGLE search to locate or look at compUSA where I saw these new batteries.
