DJLife.com - for Dell DJ downloads, support
comment: 10 | Tuesday, November 29 (2005) 08:22AM | Posted by Lone
Dell has a newish site up for all things DJ - djlife.com. It's an all-in-one place with firmware/software downloads, player FAQs, and support forums. There are also links to deals on DJ accessories. Looks to be easier than navigating through waves of pages at Dell's official site anyway.

I did
It was the 1st gen actually.
I paid $130 (got a $50 gift certificate because I said I wanted a student discount )

and then after 7 months, I called up for a repair because the buttons were acting wierd. They sent a 2nd gen (refurb)

I am a happy customer.

p.s They sent me a refurb laptop after 3 years because I had sent it in a few times for repair So that leaves me with the latest stuff (though its still a Dell, can't complain)

Eventually. Good spot.

Still I can't never grasp why they call it DJ.

To be a DJ dap it needs to have two outputs for simultanous independent playbacks and some crossfade options. At least that....

I bought the 1st gen DJ as well. It was either than or the 3rd Gen iPod. I made the right choice! It's still working just fine, about 15 hour battery life after a year and a half. If it were smaller and supported OGG, I probably wouldn't be in the market for a new one right now.
