Who doesn't like aliases for weirdly-named DAPs? Next to calling something "RAGHL-890b-Turbo", some companies are actually using their brains every so often and come up with an alias that's easier to remember.
Take MobiBlu's DAH-1500(i) for instance - wellknown to many of us by its alias: the "Cube". We've happily dubbed Sony's latest set of DAPs - the NW-A1000, 1200 and
3000 - "Soap bar" too.
Speaking of those two DAPs, it seems as if EZAV's latest addition to their
spectrum has borrowed some style elements here and there... together they form Voltr.. er, the EMP-700. Also known as the "Pebble", because it looks like one (apparently).
Now, we don't know the exact size of this thingy... but it looks to be small enough by itself. Plays MP3/WMA and ASF, has this DAH-1500-like USB2.0 interface (via headphone-out), a 64x48 pixel OLED screen (again, there's a resemblance), FM tuner and recorder (timed recording supported), voice recorder, line-in encoding... not bad.
Not sure if it's going to do much damage, since the DAH-1500i already has this territory covered but it's a nice attempt if nothing else.

Gotta say, I actually really like the look of this one. I hope it makes it to the US of A, although I probably shouldn't hold my breath.
