Crystal Case for iPod Nano

Behold! The iVod Crystal, from Vaja Cases.

Yeah, it's nice and sparkly and encrusted with Swarovski crystals. But damn, this thing is expensive. $ 240!

Uh, why? It's basically a regular iVod Nano case ($ 55) with some crystal flatbacks (beads) stuck on there. Swarovski crystals are not an expensive or rare commodity. They cost about 5 cents a piece.

Allen: because the general public in north america doesnt care about price, flaws, or limitations. They care about one thing more so then the others:
Social reputation.

I've explained so many times of how bad the iPod is and offered countless great alternatives to friends and coworkers, and they still chose the iPoo. Why? Because its popular. They don't care about other features. Or, should i say, actual features. I wouldnt be afraid to put a bet on it, that if two mp3 players were to be put side by side, same size, weight, exact specs, features. The mainstream one being 50 dollars more. Guess which one theyre going to go for? The mainstream one. Not because the public think its pretty, but because TO LOOK FUCKEN COOL.

This is, afterall, the american psyche.

Swarovski crystal may be cheap to produce but it is sold at a premium, ergo the price. Not impressed.

well, who cares? if you don't like it, then it's your opinion. Some people might like it (not me ) and if they are rich enough, they will buy it.
