Once, there was this South korean manufacturer that managed to release a whole slew full of new players every so often. Rumor has it that this company was called "Samsung" and that they had trouble finding cool product names for their otherwise completely acceptable gadgetry. Also, it seems like Samsung has had trouble setting solid release dates for their DAPs throughout the last few years.
Nevertheless, several months after it first
surfaced, Samsung's YP-T55 now seems to be ready for its domestic release. Among the specs on its feature list are MP3/WMA/ASF & Ogg Vorbis support, a 3-line OLED-like screen, built-in FM tuner, something called "DNSe Digital Natural Sound Engine 3D audio processing", lyrics support and a suggested battery life of 18-hour battery per single AAA battery.
Suggested retail prices are 109k, 139k and 179k Won (110, 140 and 180 USD) for the 256, 512MB and 1GB editions respectively.

Nice-looking DAPs (although I do like more than a 3-line LCD). In general, I like what Samsung makes, but why are their prices always so high? I mean, the YP-T8 cost me almost $200 when I bought it. And as far as playback, it had some cool things, but sounds quality, while good, wasn't awesome. I mean, are you really just paying for the look when it comes to Samsing DAPs?
