Samsung YP-D1's nifty features exposed

The guys from Minivian (Korean website on DAPs and related technology) are used to taking loads and loads of pics of anything, and it's no different for the Samsung YP-D1.

This 2MP photo camera-equipped version of the rather successful YP-T8 has now been dissected (in terms of features) by Minivian as well. Although we're not exactly sure what the actual purpose of applying all kinds of filters on their pics would be, it's nice to look at some pretty YP-D1 photographs every so often.

Seems like they focused on the photo camera part, although there are some shots to be found of the FM tuner, USB Host, Text viewer, Image viewer et cetera as well. Hm, that camera doubles as a camcorder too, apparently. Cool.

Nice pictures of it... but Im still not convinced a camera dap is a good idea, (the m:robe 500 started this hatred by the way)

Does anyone know if this is coming to America? I have a Yp-T8 and I would love for the D1 to come out here, especially in higher capacities (4GB).

I like it, I think its good to start creating an all-in-one device WITHOUT sarcrificing performance and quality which seems to be a tradeoff in most "all-in-one" players that i'm not willing to make yet. For a second I thought this was one of those late 90's nokia phones... whew :p

Yepp.co.kr has several other photo reviews of the YP-D1 (link here)

Be sure to check out the one from Popco.net (link here) - they have some of the best DAP photo shoots that I've ever seen. I've always liked the idea of having electronics posed in nature settings.
