OCube, how I enjoy thee

In celebration of the DAH-1500 Cube, Mobiblu has come up with a cute little speaker attachment, called the OCube.

The OCube is 26 mm cubed, and packs a whopping .8 mW output for your listening pleaseure. Clearly it isn't large and powerful enough to push good sound, but it has the cool factor going, if that counts for something when considering audio equipment. It has a built-in Li-ion battery which charges over USB, and looks compatible with any device housing a 3.5mm headphone jack. Surely only available in Korea, for a while anyway.

That actually looks pretty cool. Pity us americans will never see it. (btw does the cube have an alarm clock feature?)

Awesome!

If I had a MobiBlu Cube, I would buy this. ($23 is cheap, even if the sound is crap.)

That is actually a very good price. The cheapest Creative TravelSound costs $50. However, it actually sounds like a set of cheapo computer speakers, which is better than most other cable-free speakers.

You know who this would be perfect for? My pet mouse and his family. Well if I had a pet mouse that is. They could have the coolest block party ever with the qcube

So the cube-shaped DAP is good for something after all! This looks just great for pocket crap games...

Awww. But what's with the placement? I mean you'd expect them trying to keep the thing as small as possible, and here they make it plug into the player and stick out in its longest dimension...

haha! ok, i'll admit diagonally is longer, but since when do the dimensions of a DAP get reported as L*W*H and diagonal? It's just not a dimension people usually consider. (For better or worse)

If you look at the pics it looks like the headphone jack swivels, so that you could make it sit on the cube as a cube. But I am not sure about this. This thing looks pretty cool though, I want one for my Karma since there are times when I want to show a song to some people but my headphones sound like crap when turned up that high. I'm interested to know how good these sound.

Or, go for the Airpie Pump (also out of Korea), available at Misticaudio.com: only US$25 + very reasonable shipping (when's the last time you saw that?), .8 watt x 2 of power, light, three ways of mounting/employing it, 3 colors (blue, white and yellow), and uses a AA battery. Oh, and it's available right now in the U.S. and seemingly will look good with your "basic" rectangular-shaped player.
