The Jobo Giga Vu Pro:evolution is a new version of the Giga Vu Pro that we first reported on a year and a half ago. This portable media player is primarily targeted at professional photographers, with special features for reviewing images and making backups while working in the field. Similar to Epson's P-2000.

Features:
• 3.7-inch TFT LCD, 640x480 resolution
• 40gb, 80gb, or 120gb hard drive (2.5-inch)
• Supports MP3 audio
• Supports MPEG-4 videos up to 640x480 at 30fps (with MP3 audio)
• USB 2, USB 2 OTG (USB Host)
• CF card slot (type I/II), up to 13mb/second transfers
• Can display JPEG, RAW, and TIFF images, including the ability to zoom in and rotate images
• Photo slide shows, works alongside music playback
• Image review function includes a histogram, blown highlights warning, cross-hair readout of RGB values and dust detection mode
• Built-in FTP server for connecting with WiFi enabled cameras (optional 802.11b CF card required)
• DVI or analog video out, with sound
• Onboard file management (move, rename, delete)
• Headphone port and built-in speaker
• Replaceable lithium battery (2200 mAh)
• 145x107x38mm, 420g

MSRP will be $500 for the 40gb version, $700 for 80gb, and a whoppin' $900 for the 120gb model. Expect to pay the full MSRP too - this is the kind of thing you'll only find in specialty shops.

You know what really grinds my gears? PMP manufacturers who use full screens. Why dont they get with the freaking program? Its called a widescreen folks...its much better than a full screen. And thats what really grinds my gears. Tom.

well, this one is mostly for reviewing photos... which usually have a 4:3 aspect ratio (35mm, etc)

Well, even many pros have only APS size sensors in their cams, but they are 4:3 in most cases nevertheless
