So, who's pumped to hear about some new DAPs from
Memorex?
*cricket chirp*
Erm, well, to be fair, at least the new MMP8565 is semi-interesting with its reasonably slick design. Sort of resembles a larger
M-Cody MX700.
Specs:
- 1/2 GB flash memory
- 6 line monochrome LCD
- 3.1" x 1.8" x 0.6"
- MP3, WAV (?), WMA, WMA-DRM9/10 support
- Mass Storage Compliant
- EQ w/ 6 presets
- 12 (?) hours of battery life
Obviously this thing is going for the lower-end market with its monochrome screen and slim feature set. There are some discrepancies with some of the specs: the 8565's manual actually lists a battery life of 20 hours and WAV support, while the product page does not.

There are also 3 more new DAPs in the Memorex lineup: a
screenless disc, a
minimalist rectangle, and an
ugly, bulbousy thing that doesn't really warrant us posting a picture. If you're interested these things should be available at some brick-and-mortar Target stores.
