MobiBlu has a new flash-player in the works, the US2, which stands for "UltraSlim-2" (although there never was a US1, as far as we know). And slim it is: this thing is less then 1cm thick, putting its waist-size very close to that of the iPod nano.
• MobuBlu US2: 80mm x 40mm x 7-9mm
• iPod nano: 89mm x 41mm x 7mm
The US2 has clearly borrowed some design elements from the Motorola RAZR, but still, it's easy to appreciate this kind of simple and clean design. Like the RAZR, the US2 is made of plastic and polished aluminum, including a laser-etched control panel.
Features include a a 1.5-inch OLED color screen, support for audio, video, photos, and recording (exact details are unknown at this time), SRS WoW audio processing, and a capacity of 1gb, 2gb, or 4gb of flash memory.
The US2 can be used like a regular MP3 player, or worn around the neck with a lanyard attachment that has built-in earphones. Similiar to the iRiver N10 series or iAudio T2. Our sources over at MobiBLU Korea mentioned a mid-July release.
