Neonumeric NTG-1
comment: 11 | Friday, July 07 (2006) 10:09AM | Posted by Austin Vaughan
The NTG-1 is a new PMP in the works from a French company, Neonumeric. This is one of those massively-converged devices with a ton of features.

• Plays DivX, AVI, MPEG, & WMV video
• Plays MP3, WMA, and WAV audio
• 2.5-inch TFT LCD sceen, with 260k colors
• 1.3MP camera, camcorder & webcam capability
• Line-in audio recording to MP3
• Video recording to ASF
• AV output to TV
• JPEG photo viewing
• FM radio tuner
• Built-in lithium battery
• SD/MMC card slot
• Dimensions of 107 x 62 x 21mm

All kinds of goodies there, but it looks like you'll have to add your own memory through SD/MMC cards. No word yet on when it will be available, or if it might find its way out of France, but the MSRP is expected to fall in the 200€ - 250€ range. Kinda pricey.

No OGG-support, no standard battery, no decent battery life. No thanks.

With an SD slot 4GB of flash memory is very possible for a small price of $80....
