Those crazy chaps behind Hyon Won's mobiBLU MP3 players went ahead and changed the name of their sleek new
US2 (Ultra-Slim 2) to DAH-2300, keeping in rhythm with the previous DAH entries. See the
official product page for more.
While that's not a big deal by itself, it becomes semi-interesting when there's another player in the lineup with the same model name. Hiding on some Korean gadget site (BuyKing.com) is something else that happens to be referred to as the DAH-2300, from mobiBLU (pictured below, hanging out with the yarn balls). Oh no!
It's possible the player in the bottom picture was conceived as the "original" 2300, but Hyon Won found it too boring and generic to produce in mass quantities, and instead borrowed the name for the US2 to keep it in the DAH family. It's also possible that the US2, jealous of the DAH-2300's prowess, destroyed it, and assumed the 2300's identity. I suppose we'll never know.
