The Samsung
YP-Z5 is one of those players that gets mentioned often but really hasn't won everyone over. It's definitely one of the nicest looking players to come out this year though and has made great strides in the
firmware department (Gapless playback and improved battery life to name a few). As many of you know the Z5's software was designed by Paul Mercer, who prior to that designed the interface for iPods.
In honor of a million Z5's being sold, Mercer and Samsung will be auctioning off 10 YP-Z5's encased in genuine 18K Gold. Not only is the player made of gold, even the box it comes in is adorned with that shiny yellow stuff. Additionally each player has Paul Mercer's signature on the back. Samsung isn't the first to come out with a Gold player, Trekstor also has one with the
i.Beat organix and it retails for a mere $19,999.99 (only 1 left in stock!). The pricing on these rare Z5's will start at $1, but Samsung is expecting them to go for 120,000 Won each. This is surely a must have for the insanely rich (or just insane) DAP collector. This auction is probably only available to Korea, but it's not like any of us were going to bid on it anyway.

Any idea what capacity?
One side note, went to Samsung's webpage and found the YP-Z5AB listed as an archived player, that is after I wasn't able to locate it in the "Select Model" dropdown menu. Samsung link --> [Linky]
Does Samsung plan to retire the Z5, to be replaced by the T9 and K3?
