Last night AdvancedMP3players.co.uk sent out a newsletter announcing that the popular
Cowon D2, a DAPreview fave, will soon be available soon with DAB receiver. Today I can confirm that AMP3 will be the sole trader of the Cowon D2 - DAB in the UK, at least at first. They are expecting the first shipment of DAB enabled D2's within two weeks and will have exclusive selling rights for the first couple of months.

The pricing of the updated D2's will be as follows:
- 4GB D2 - DAB: £169.99
- 2GB D2 - DAB: £139.99
Twenty pounds more expensive than their non DAB counterparts.
Apart from the addition of the DAB radio chipset the D2 will look exactly the same. For those who don't know what DAB is, basically it is digital radio, it is very popular in the UK and growing in popularity in other European countries too. In my opinion this is a smart move on Cowons part, but really should have been done from the off. Anyone remember Cowon's
D1?I would also like to thank
iAudiophile member
d88 for answering a few of my questions, cheers mate.

Well there is the 4% quidco saving (google) but that is still a lot of money
Holding out for double digit capacity flash players though
