Usually when a company releases a bunch of new players, I'd say they're flooding the market (See: Creative). But, since Venzero hasn't exactly penetrated the market, the only thing they're flooding is their own site. They just announced the LINQ mini, a small WiFi player capable of streaming Internet radio stations. The rest of the mini's feature-set and its design are average at best:
- Capacity: 1GB
- Monochrome display (128 x 64)
- Audio: MP3, WMA
- MusicMarker recognition software
- Battery Life: 20 hours
- Dimensions: 42 x 80 x 9mm
- Price: $99US
WiFi is nice and all, but this player seems so dated to me otherwise. I mean, a monochrome screen, and just 1GB of storage? Is this 2001? It'd be like some TV manufacturer announcing a 13" B&W model with TIVO built-in. I might be a little too harsh on this fairly new company, but Venzero definitely needs to step it up if they ever plan to be successful.

Whao. This might have my money if it can stream from DigitallyImported.
