This might be the first time a company actually wants you to scratch their touchscreen device. The BeatDJ (or M7600) from Samsung features a UI inspired by a turntable and DJ software that allows you to mix and add effects to your tracks on the go. There's also a built-in amplifier from Bang and Olufsen. The BeatDJ has a curved design reminiscent of Helio Ocean and others.

BeatDJ Features:

  • 2.8" WQVGA AMOLED screen (240 x 480 resolution, 16M colors)
  • Capacity: 50MB internal memory and microSDHC expansion
  • Audio: MP3, WMA, AAC
  • Bang and Olufsen amplifier, SRS 5.1 surround sound
  • Video: H.264, DivX and XviD
  • FM tuner with RDS
  • 3MP camera
  • Bluetooth A2DP
  • GPS navigation
  • Quadband GSM/HSDPA data
  • 960 mAh battery
  • Dimensions: 112 x 51 x 13.9 millimeters

The BeatDisc (or Samsung M7610) shares most of the same specs as the BeatDJ but has a 2.6" screen, and a built-in numeric keypad. I'm not smitten with the BeatDJ's design, but it looks like it'd be a fun phone to use. No word on pricing or release schedule yet.
