Cowon D2+ Now Shipping in the US!

After its release in Korea last week, Cowon's revamped D2 has made its way overseas. The D2+ is currently available at JetMall, Cowon's US storefront. There aren't a lot of differences between the D2+ and its predecessor. They've changed the design, revised the GUI, and have added new BBE+ sound enhancements. Thankfully, the retail prices are the same as the D2, with the 8GB selling for $139, and the 16GB for $179.

Features

  • Capacity: 8 or 16GB, plus SDHC expansion
  • Display: 2.5" Touchscreen (320 x 240, 16M colors)
  • Audio: MP3, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, WAV
  • Video: MPEG-4, AVI, WMV plus TV-out
  • Extras: FM tuner, Line-in/Voice Recorder, Text
  • Revised GUI
  • Battery life: 52 hours for audio, 10 for video

So, anyone planning on picking one up?

At 32 GB, 480x320 or higher and as good format support as the O2 I would for sure.

Now? I have no idea.

I just want a player which doesn't suck, too bad no-one offer one, I guess the Sonys come closest atm, this one is still sweet for music though. Enough real controls on it?
