Cowon releases S9 firmware V1.30/3.30 [beta]

Cowown has released a new beta firmware today. The major update is the "matrix browser" and "swing mation" feature, which can be seen in the video above.

New additions:
- new "matrix browser" for music navigation
- new "swing motion" feature for changing tracks
- preview feature for dmb
- ability to set notepad drawings as background
- new game called "Hunter" that uses the g-sensor
- other performance/bug fixes

Wow, this matrix browser thing is really cool It's nice to see some really nice "Cover Flow" alternatives that are actually better looking! Good job, Cowon!

What page view are you speaking of, Design Fabulous?

If you're talking about the fact that it displays what page you are on when browsing albums in matrix mode, you're gonna be disappointed.

I suspect it is to disguise the loading of the next page, if you get what I mean.

That's really cool. Great video Design!

I don't really like the page view either. I don't see why it has to be big and centered like that, rather than tucked along the edge. Knowing what page of album art you're on isn't that important.

The Matrix browser works nicely, it's more responsive than the previous coverflow. The shake feature works nicely, but I just turned it off. The new hunter game is cool, I hope they add more games using the g-sensor.

I just wish they would add some playlist features, like the ability to create playlists on the fly using the stock UCI.
