So those rumors were true! Cowon just put up a teaser image of the iAudio 9 on their front page It has a pretty clean looking design, with a simplistic interface to match. The GUI reminds me of the iriver E100 actually, which it seems to be competing with on paper. It has a 2.0" display, a uilt-in speaker, FM tuner, and recorder, and the great codec support we've come to expect from Cowon (FLAC, OGG, APE, AVI, WMV, Xvid). It even supports AV-Out. No word on capacities, or release date yet, but we'll make sure to update you when we find out.

I like it. It looks like a mobile phone, though.

Capacity and price are important. Is there any reason to get this over the S9?

Closer to the iriver E50 in many respects.

I guess they had to do it, but was really hoping for a much simpler device with the emphasis on premium sound and wonky, iconic looks....basically an i7 with a dash of S9. This is looks like a common denominator, committee-engineered player that could have come from a factory in the Pearl River Delta.

Nice design. I like it too.

If it has a good, quick UI, and decent battery life, this will sell.

Too bad it has the horrible touchpad controls found on the Samsung Q2. I sold mine because of how annoying it was, and this seems the same (unfortunately).

this is what i'm talking about. I'm tired of the abundance of touch screen players.

TheDarkSide, it looks like it has the same type of "buttons" as the Q2, but i think it still has the diagonal control strip thing that the iaudio 7, 6 etc had (i think).
