Mpio FY-400 and HD-300 tidbits

Mpio's busy reshuffling their cards as we speak. A while ago, they already luanched their FG-100 and FL-300 players. Some days ago, we told you about the HD-300 and its' availability in the US.

Now they've come up with another player: the FY-400. Obviously meant as a successor to the FY-200, but looking much sleeker and more refined. It's available in three memory-capacities, one of which is 1GB. Further details:

  • Sliding type Retractable USB connector
  • Up to 20 hours of battery life using 1 AAA battery
  • 128MB/256MB/1GB
  • USB 2.0
  • Supports MP3, WMA and ASF
  • 4-line wide FSTN LCD with yellow backlight
  • Built-in voice recorder
  • Built-in integrated FM tuner
  • Enhanced Philips Sound Effect, 3D sound effect and 7band EQ
  • Dimensions: 82 x 31 x 28.5mm (3.14 x 1.18 x 0.82 inch)
  • Weight: 40.5g (1.3 oz)

Doesn't look half bad, does it? For those of you who are wondering, it's already available for ordering at THIS site. $219.99 for the 1GB, rather exclusive.

More details on Mpio's latest range of players can be found at MOBILEMAG, which nicely brought this player to our attention. They also wrote about some of the HD300's features:

"Additionally, MPIO HD300 comes with "Walk Office," a revolutionary new approach to business productivity for anyone who spends time away from their desk. [...] Walk Office Write, Calculate and Show allows users to effortlessly exchange files with friends and co-workers using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. It's unique, pure Java architecture enables it to run on Windows or Macintosh operating systems. Walk Office also features integrated, Internet-based file sharing and storage with end-to-end security."

No idea what that was all about, but sounds cool to me anyway .

Thanks, Mobilemag
