We've been hearing bits and pieces of information about the Insignia Pilot and Sport from our resident member/Best Buy employee for some time now. I was waiting for a little more info before sharing it with everyone, but Best Buy beat us to it by stealthily adding the two players to their site. Both players are Bluetooth capable and improve on their respective predecessors, the Insignia Video and Amigo. Here's a rundown of each:

Insignia Pilot

  • Capacity: 4 and 8GB
  • Display: 2.4" TFT
  • Audio: MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WMA DRM, WMA Pro, OGG, WAV, Audible,
  • Video: MPEG-4, and WMV at 30fps
  • SD-Expansion slot
  • FM Tuner with RDS
  • Battery Life: 25 hours for Audio
  • Bluetooth Support
  • MSC/MTP Capable
  • Dimensions: 3.3" x 1.6" x 0.4"
  • Price: $139 and $189 respectively

Insignia Sport

  • Capacity: 2 and 4GB
  • Display: 1.7" TFT
  • Audio: MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WMA DRM, OGG
  • Video: MPEG-4 at 15fps
  • microSD-Expansion slot
  • FM Tuner with RDS
  • Battery Life: 25 hours for Audio
  • Bluetooth Support
  • MSC/MTP Capable
  • Dimensions: 3.3" x 1.6" x 0.4"
  • Price: $99 and $119 respectively
  • Colors: Black, Blue, and Red

Insignia continues to impress me with their attractive looks and features. The players are currently on Backorder but should become available by the end of this month.
