Best Buy Kicks-off the Insignia Kix

Insignia isn't your typical "no-name" company that you'll find at your local electronics retailer. Best Buy's in-house brand has released a respectable array of players over the last two years. The latest is the Kix, a basic flash player with a built-in USB plug. The design breaks away from the the slim rectangular form-factor of previous players, and goes for a more sporty look and feel.

On the features side, there isn't anything particularly new about it. It has a 1.0" color screen, support for MP3, WMA, WAV, and Audible, and an FM tuner. It will run for approximately 30 hours from a lithium-ion battery, and will thankfully be a UMS/MSC device. The Kix also comes with 2 extra USB caps in various colors, for those that like to change it up every now and then. For now, the only capacity is 1GB, which retails for $59.99.
