Seems like they're keeping themselves busy over at Median, these days - yesterday we had a little blurb on the
slender M-20, and now this. It's been a while since we last reported on the M-Cody
MX-500 (named after the affordable Sennheiser earbuds?), so here you go: AVing took a couple of nice pictures of the reasonably small and slick-looking flash DAP and reminded us of some of the specs.
The MX-500 comes with an OLED type screen, supports Ogg Vorbis (among other formats) and the 460mAh built-in battery allows it to play for about 21 hours per charge. The slider pen USB stick pendrive thingy thing we've seen on some of their other players (MX-100, 250) has been implemented into the MX-500 concept as well. FM tuner + recorder, voice recorder, a txt viewer and the debatably-useful infrared remote controller function complement the whole picture: this is the
MX-250 done right. Well, we think it might be.
Capacities range from 256MB up to 2GB (via 512MB and 1GB); official prices are yet be announced. The MX-500 will go live by the end of this month (like, now?).
