Oppo X31M plays gigs

If you're fed up with all the lawsuit technicalities, here's something insignificant to cheer you up again. We at DAPreview take great pride in finding stupid stuff shaped like stupid stuff - especially if it's able to play (stupid) music (stupidly) - and here we have another one of those "DAPs-resembling-like-something-non-standard" items.

Hm, I just read somewhere that people hate reading long and complex sentences. Better keep this to-the-point from here.

Oppo Digital. The company that brought you the X9 & X11. Also the virtuous minds behind a flash player called the "X5", mind you (it's too ugly to link to). Already implemented: genericness, boring stuff and yawn-stimulant features. Next in line: a DAP shaped like a guitar.

The X31M can play MP3, WMA and WAV chords. It'll also amplify your favorite FM radio station, comes with a handy virtual-OLED interface (no more broken snares) and a neck + headstock that doubles as a carrying belt. Connect the X31M to your PC through USB2.0, upload all the latest tunes and amaze your friends by jamming the roof off of their houses. Also includes a regular 3.5mm headphone-out port.

On top of that, there's a user-definable equalizer. Runs for about 11 hours on a full battery charge (probably a built-in power source). Capacity: unknown. Touched by Jimi Hendrix: we can but guess.

Disclaimer: this is not an actual guitar! Yeah, we know - that might come as a big shock, but such is life. Most likely, the X31M is actually just as big as the average Zippo-lighter-on-a-chain. Also, probably not available anywhere other than in China. Then again, lots of generic rebranding companies read up on DAPreview... so who knows. Until it hits the stores over here, we'll have to make do with DAPs shaped like... DAPs.
