iDon't know what to say... comment: 65 | Monday, May 22 (2006) 12:11PM | Posted by LoneNot getting your fill of anti-iPod remarks? Fire up your browser and head on over to idont.com. See their manifesto: Calling all free-thinkers, contrarians, and malcontents. The time has come to rise above the iTatorship. To resist the monotony of white earbuds and reject the oppressive forces of cultural conformity. Now is the time to break-free from restrictive formats and a single source for music. It's time for choice, for freedom, for self-expression - and for all independent spirits to stand up and say "iDon't." You don't need to follow. There is now an alternative. ![]() It's a viral campaign started by the folks at SanDisk, the number 2 digital audio player brand in America. Their recommended alternative is coincidentally the Sansa e200. And judging by the various wallpapers showcasing farm animals with the iconic white earbuds, they're going all out. This whole thing begs the question, does this kind of marketing work? I imagine those who've already researched and purchased an iPod alternative or going to just laugh at, while those who own iPods will see it as a concession by SanDisk that they're resorting to just about anything to try and topple Apple. But what will those middle-of-the fence people think? via Engadget Latest Forum Posts
