Venzero announces miniONE comment: 17 | Wednesday, June 21 (2006) 10:18AM | Posted by Robert SinkeWell well, it's all miniature these days. Remember Venzero and their strangely-appealing One device? This was the slick-looking 8GB DAP that introduced some rather exclusive features, such as "SharePort" and "MusicMarker". But hey, just read up on that later if you must - let's focus on the "Mini One" now. This tiny edition of the original "One" (whatever happened to that mid-June release schedule?) comes with 1 or 2GB worth of flash memory. File types supported include MP3, WMA, WMA DRM 10, WAV, JPEG and BMP. It can also play video files, but you'll have to convert the original files to some proprietary format for that. The Mini One runs for about 12 hours continuously through its rechargeable Li-Polymer battery (officially anyway). ![]() Measuring just 75 x 44 x 8.9mm while weighing a mere 28 grams, this thingy looks like a fun competitor to the Zen V (plus), which is 67.5 x 43.5 x 15.9mm, 43.5 grams in terms of size and weight. There's a small (1.3") OLED, 128 x 96 pixels & 260k color screen on there as well. Prices (pre-order) have been set to € 119 and € 169 for the 1GB and 2GB editions respectively (available somewhere around July, supposedly so). Well, you know the drill by now - that's all very nice, but we'd like to see a 4GB version as well. LINK Thanks, hobo Update: Apparently, there's a dedicated blog for the Venzero range out there too: LINK (via I4U & Engadget). Just so you know. Latest Forum Posts
