Songbird music player now for Mac and Linux
comment: 18 | Tuesday, June 27 (2006) 01:21PM | Posted by Lone
The Songbird open-source media player which was released as a Windows beta back in February now supports Mac OSX and Linux.

Songbird is built on the Firefox engine and includes a built-in web search and support for user-created extensions. Codec support should be varied as well including playback of FLAC, AAC, and Ogg Vorbis formats.

According to the Songbird page this is a pre-0.2 release so don't expect a completely stable program just yet.
