Microsoft DAP codenamed Argo, possible design comment: 89 | Monday, July 10 (2006) 03:16PM | Posted by jet_fighter00 Microsoft's much rumored and anticipated answer to the iPod seems to finally have a design, and this one seems real enough to me. The good boys at Engadget got the scoop from an inside source. Besides an alright design, we don't much else, since the GUI is in hiding. Hopefully it will have Live Anywhere support and connect with the Xbox 360 to download and stream movies back and forth between the devices. As for the design, it seems kind of like a Toshiba Gigabeat S with the Ipod mixed in, but that scroll wheel looks like it could use some better materials. And hopefully we will see alternative colors, or at least a black. For now we don't have much to report on in terms of specs, so keep an eye out and check back here when we get more information. Anyone's thoughts on the player (and let's not hear iPod ripoff), post away in the comments. For more information, check out Engadget. (Thanks, zip22) Update: Supposedly Microsofts new DAP will be named Zune. There's more info on Gizmodo. Latest Forum Posts
