60GB Zen Vision:M
If you've been keeping up with the latest rumors at epiZENter.net, then you should know that we have been discussing the release of a 60GB Zen Vision:M for over 2 months now. As I mentioned in my report on Creative's Q4 Conference call, the President of Creative Labs slipped in the fact that there will be a 60GB ZVM. Still no official announcement yet, but we have one more bit of proof to share with you. .A couple of our members snapped some pictures of an ad found in September 2006's Maxim magazine, that actually states the 60GB capacity, as well as a bump in hours for video, from 120 to 240. I was pretty skeptical about this, since this ad looks just like another one withut the 60GB wording. Nonetheless it's there, and you can see it for yourself (just flip to page 158). So when is it coming out? That's hard to say. An IT event called Comex will be held in Singapore from Aug 31st - Sept. 3rd and Creative will be there. That may be a good time announce it. Others believe it may come on September 24th' the same time as WMP11's official release. LINK Thanks, OhioState87 and Tuvix 60GB Zen Vision:W ![]() Remember the Zen Vision? Creative's small PMP that was unfortunately plagued with a not so great display (poor viewing angle was the verdict). Well, Creative is said to release a 60GB version of this player under the name Zen Vision:W. Some have Speculated, the "W" stands for widescreen, but from what I've heard it might just be a 60GB upgrade of the current player. Will these upgrades mean a thicker player? Most likely, although it is possible to mod the current Zen Vision with a 60GB HD, as shown above. ZVM TravelDock ![]() Many of us have been waiting for some more accessories for the ZVM. One of the items at the top of my list was a TravelDock speaker made specifically for the Vision:M. This seems like an obvious accessory to make, but it's taken quite a while for them to come out with it. The speaker will supposedly fit both the 30GB and 60GB ZVM's. For those not familiar with TravelDock speakers, they will allow you to output sound through the built in speakers, as well as let you charge the device while it's connected. All these products have been requested heavily by consumers, so it really does sound like Creative is listening to us and coming out with products that we want.
