I meant to write up something about this media player last week, but one thing led to another and that didn't end up happening. So without any further delay, we'll just go ahead and mention a little bit about said device, the Toshiba Gigabeat V30.
You may remember the
Gigabeat V30T DMB PMP from back in May; it turns out the V30 is mostly just a V30T minus the DMB. The interesting stuff about this particular Gigabeat:
- 30 GB capacity
- 3.5-inch QVGA display with 320 x 240 resolution
- Runs Microsoft's PMC interface (like the Gigabeat S30)
- Supports WMA Lossless, WMA, MP3, WAV, WMV, and JPEG formats
- FM Tuner
- Built-in speaker, TV out
- 30 hours of audio, 8 hours of video playback
Unlike the V30T, the V30 is actually gonna see a release in North America: Toshiba's latest has appeared on
Amazon for a $ 400 pre-order. I'm not sure how many people would take this "dedicated" PMP over the smaller, sleek, but still video-capable Gigabeat S, but it's another option for those who desire the PMC firmware.
Thanks to anyone who may have sent this in
