Today Microsoft released their first firmware for the Zune, version 1.2.

So what's new? Nothing really. No web browsing, native DivX support, or gapless playback. The update "...will help enhance stability and performance." Basically, navigating menus and scrolling through music, movies, and pictures is quicker. Better than nothing anyway, though we'd like to see Microsoft set the Zune up with more of the "basics," like a sleep timer and custom equalizer.

The update can be installed via the Zune software.
