New French Spanish & Taiwanese DAP - the Airis N004x series

Airis ... where have I heard that name before? I went and checked out their website and found the device I remembered. Rob and I had seen their "Airis Pop" with 80 GB of storage at the CeBit 2006. The thing sucked so much that it had its own vacuum.

Anyway - we saw that player a year ago and the tech looked even older, so let's give Airis the benefit of the doubt. They just released 2 new players called the N0041 and the N0042 - with capacities of 1 and 2 GB respectivly. The player only has a battery life of 10 hours, but it is relativly thin and it has a 1.5'' 128x128 pixel colour screen. Also the battery is user replacable. Other features this player offers are FM Radio, Video Playback and picture viewing all weighing in at a total of 40 grams.

I must say I do like the design of the player, and I am all in favour of some new DAP companies entering the sleepy market we have at the moment.

Thanks chengdude for the company info.
