The Meizu
M6 (aka miniPlayer) was a breath of fresh air for the DAP industry last year. Although the design and interface seemed like a love child of an iPod and Vision:M, it actually surpassed the clone title and made a name for itself. The Chinese company, Meizu is still going strong today. They are planning on bringing out an 8GB version of the M6 as early as March 1st. This seems like an obvious move for me since most of the competition have already increased their respectve players to 8GB and higher.
Also noteworthy are Meizu's latest firmware upgrades. In the past couple months they've been hard at work to provide these excellent additions (among others): Album Art, Graphic EQ, Support for both MTP and MSC, and WMA Lossless support. The icing on the firmware cake is a significant increase in battery life. Meizu claims the improvement provides 36 hours of battery life, a tremendous improvement from the previous 20 hours.
