Not too long after their announcement of the
mini, Venzero is now rolling out their new flash player, the Slickr. That's quite a few players for a company we still don't know much about. The Slickr, not to be confused with Flickr, or
Slacker for that matter, appears to be a "competitor" to players like the iriver clix and the Cowon D2. Aside from the larger screen, the feature set is nearly the same as the aforementioned mini.
- Capacity: 2GB w/ miniSD expansion slot
- 2.83" Display w/ 1.6 million colors
- MP3, WMA, and AVI playback
- FM Tuner and Voice Recorder
- Built-in Speaker
- Other: Classic game pre-installed (Tetris), Text support, and MusicMarker recognition software
- Dimensions: 85.5 x 55 x 9.8mm
- UMS device
From what I can see, there aren't any visible controls on the player. Could it have a D-Click system like the Clix? Or a touchscreen interface like the D2? I imagine they'd mention something like that, so I'm just going to assume the controls are on the edge of the player. The Slickr will go on sale Mid June at a price of 119 Euros, which typically translates directly into US dollars.
