I had the chance to play with Apple's iPhone last week, and I must admit, it's pretty damn cool. The interface was simple, yet intuitive, and the the touchscreen worked just as advertised. Despite that, I made an oath (albeit, a private one) not to get mixed up in the whole iPhone craze. This newspost isn't about the iPhone itself so I don't think my oath has been broken yet. It's about one mans quest (pronounced: "hobby") to transform his Sony Vaio UX Micro into an iPhone.

In reality, the "uPhone" as he calls it, is an application launcher in iPhone's clothing. It is using the Cover Flow feature from iTunes, Skype for making calls. and many other apps to substitute for those found on the original. It's currently a work in progress, but he'll eventually provide the software for all 5 of you UMPC owners out there to download.
