Samsung Announces the YP-S5 and YP-T10
comment: 8 | Thursday, August 16 (2007) 12:05PM | Posted by Michael
Along with the P2 we found out about recently, Samsung also has two new players to show off at the upcoming IFA convention. They're the YP-S5, and YP-T10, both upgrades to previous Samsung players. Here's a summary of what they have to offer:
YP-S5 ![]() The S5 is a next gen K5. This version is thinner, and will come in sizes ranging from 2 to 8GB's. The player has a 1.8" display and now plays back video. It also has bluetooth support. Battery life will be approximately 24 hours for audio, and 5.5 hours for video. The player will come in black or white. YP-T10 ![]() The T10 is essentially an updated version of the K3. It has a 2" display and shares the same features and capacity range as the S5. Additionally it will also have support for Java games. The T10 will come in an assortment of colors, including Black, White, Purple, Red, and Lime. Battery life for audio is approximately 30 hours. According to gadget site Pocket-lint, the interface is a bit different from others we've seen: "Instead of boring menus users will be presented with a cartoon dog to guide you through the menu choices." These upgrades are certainly attractive, but my gaze is still fixated on the YP-P2. Pricing and availability info is still unknown. We also don't have to full specs for these players yet, but we should find out a lot more once IFA kicks off. via, Pocket-lint and engadget Latest Forum Posts
