UPOP's Hot new PMP
comment: 16 | Tuesday, December 11 (2007) 03:44AM | Posted by Michael
Ah Korea, you're filled with such delightful players! Most of which, I will never be able to touch. The latest eye candy comes from a company called UPOP. It's debut player is a PMP loaded with nearly every feature imaginable. It has a cool sliding front panel with a built-in keyboard that sort of reminds me of a super-sized T-Mobile Sidekick. Just check out what this player has to offer:

Features
:

  • Capacity: 30, or 60GB plus SD expansion
  • Display: 4.8" TFT (800 x 400)
  • OS: Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Professional
  • Audio: MP3, WMA, MP4, ACC, AC3, Ogg, and WAV
  • Video: AVI (divx, etc..), WMV, MPG, DAT, and VOB
  • Built-in WiFi and DMB Tuner
  • Audio and Video recording
  • Office Applications (Powerpoint, Excel, PDF. TXT, etc..)
  • Built-in Dictionary
  • USB Host
  • Dimensions: 84 x 157.7 x 24.4mm

Okay I confess, it's more of a UMPC device than a standard PMP, but no doubt the two are overlapping more and more; Just look at the Cowon Q5 for instance. For you envious onlookers out there wishing you lived in Korea right about now, you're not alone. That's why I believe we should all make the pilgrimage to the land of Milk and DAP's at least once in our life. Or better yet, get someone to export these babies overseas.
